JET-UNIT PRIVACY POLICY

General

This privacy policy (hereinafter the « Policy ») is intended to help you (hereinafter also referred to as the « User ») understand the practices of Jet-Unit Distributions Inc., also named Canada Pontoon and Canada RV (hereinafter « Jet-Unit ») with respect to the collection, processing and use, disclosure and retention of the personal information you provide to Jet-Unit, including personally identifiable information (hereinafter the « Personal Information »).

By providing your Personal Information, you consent to the use and disclosure of such information as set forth in this Policy. Thus, you authorize us to collect, use and share the Personal Information that you provide us with via the Jet-Unit platform (the « Platform »), by email, in person, by telephone or on our website, including by creating a customer account or making an online purchase, as applicable, to be disclosed or used in accordance with the purposes for which it was collected, unless you expressly consent. We collect only the Personal Information that is needed.

You have the right to withdraw your consent to the disclosure or use of the information collected at any time. However, the withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your Personal Information prior to the withdrawal of consent. If you do not consent to this Policy, please do not disclose your Personal Information or, if you do or did, unsubscribe or send an email or message to the Privacy Officer at Jet-Unit, using the Privacy Officer’s contact details provided in the "Information" section. Jet-Unit will take appropriate measures to have your Personal Information deleted once you have exercised your opt-out right as defined below, subject to the exceptions set forth in the law.

This Policy does not apply to Personal Information of Jet-Unit employees, consultants or other individuals, or to information that is not Personal Information.
The Platform will protect the Personal Information it holds in accordance with the provisions of the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (R.R.S.Q., chapter P-39.1), such information being kept in accordance with the rules established by law and as more fully detailed in this Policy.

Collection of Personal Information

For the purposes of this Policy, the Personal Information that may be collected is identification and authentication information, such as your first and last name, email and postal address, telephone number, date of birth, password, and information related to purchases made, such as your payment information and purchase history.

In addition, Jet-Unit may automatically collect certain information, including, but not limited to, the type of device you are using, IP address, user operating system, type of Internet browser you are using, domain name, access times, length of visit, referring URL, Platform information, date/time stamp and exit page, cookies, as well as information about how you use the Platform.

Use of Personal Information

The Platform contains various features and functionality. To access and use the Platform and its features and functionality, you may be required to enter Personal Information into the Platform.

Personal Information is collected through your communications by telephone, postal address or email address, through your use of our services or Platform, when you log in to your customer account to identify yourself or when you make a purchase from our online store.

When you provide us with your Personal Information, employees of Jet-Unit and our affiliates who need access to Personal Information in order to provide you with services related to the Platform, technical support or similar services will have access to your Personal Information. Jet-Unit is committed to ensuring that its employees are made aware of their obligation to maintain the security and confidentiality of your Personal Information, when they disclose and/or access Personal Information. Also, your Personal Information will be provided to Jet-Unit's third party suppliers, such as financial institutions, fraud detection and prevention entities, service providers and partners related to the logistics, transportation and delivery of your purchases and/or their partner facilities, as well as cloud services, web hosting and data processing.

However, your Personal Information may be used to compile statistics and data from the use of the Platform in a manner that does not allow anyone to directly identify you, and we are committed to limit the risks of anyone identifying you by providing anonymized information when possible.

Personal Information may also be used for purposes consistent with those for which it was collected and for your benefit, including, but not limited to, broadcasting, correspondence, providing information or personalizing your experience on the Platform, answering your questions, recovering our outstanding receivables, understanding your needs, informing you of our offers and promotions if you have consented, and managing fraud and theft. If the purpose of processing Personal Information changes in the future, the changes will be posted on the Platform.

Retention and Protection of Personal Information

Jet-Unit maintains your Personal Information in a secure and confidential manner as required by law to ensure the integrity and privacy of your Personal Information.

When you provide Personal Information to Jet-Unit, you agree that such information may be transferred electronically over the Internet to Jet-Unit, and that Personal Information may also be transferred, stored, hosted and processed on behalf of Jet-Unit by a third party. Jet-Unit uses private cloud servers to store your Personal Information.

If we need to share Personal Information with third party vendors, including for security and protection purposes, Jet-Unit will ensure that the protection and privacy of such information meets this Policy and will require such vendors to comply with this Policy. Third party suppliers are not permitted to use Personal Information other than for the purpose of providing services to Jet-Unit, and Personal Information may not be disclosed or transferred by such third party without the consent of Jet-Unit.

Your Personal Information is usually located in Canada, but we may use suppliers located outside of Canada. As such, you consent to the transfer of information to countries other than your country of residence, where data protection rules may be different from those in your country of residence and Jet-Unit will hold companies outside of Canada responsible under Canadian law for any Personal Information that may be transferred to them.

However, despite Jet-Unit's privacy practices and procedures, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or data storage is completely secure, and no security measure can prevent all potential security breaches. Therefore, you agree that Jet-Unit is in no way responsible for any damages suffered by you or any third party due to unauthorized access to Personal Information or a data breach involving Personal Information.

Destruction or anonymization of Personal Information

Once the purpose for which the Personal Information was collected or used is fulfilled, we ensure that your Personal Information is destroyed or anonymized. While destruction is a process of permanent disposal, anonymization means that your Personal Information is altered so that you can no longer be identified, directly or indirectly, in an irreversible manner. Destruction and anonymization are carried out in a safe and secure manner, in accordance with the best practices and with the criteria and procedures determined by regulation.

Hyperlinks

For your convenience, the Platform may include hyperlinks to external websites operated by third parties. By clicking on these hyperlinks, you will leave the Platform to third party websites, which may be subject to different privacy policies and practices. This Policy no longer applies once you leave our Platform. Please review the policies of other sites to which you are redirected before providing any Personal Information. We are not responsible for the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information of other entities that you may access from our Platform, and we do not accept any responsibility for such collection, use and disclosure.

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. We use cookies to understand how our websites are used and to improve the content and services we provide. We may also use cookies to offer you products or services that match your interests as identified via the Web. Cookies, by themselves, do not provide us with your Personal Information unless you choose to provide that information to us, for example, by registering on our websites. However, if you choose to provide Personal Information through our websites, that Personal Information may be linked to stored cookies and the information they contain.

Rights of access, correction, opposition and withdrawal

Jet-Unit commits to confirm the existence or non-existence of your Personal Information and to provide you with access to your Personal Information in our custody or control, and the right to correct it. You may request access to your Personal Information in our possession at any time. You may also, at any time, request that we correct Personal Information in our possession. It is your responsibility to provide us with Personal Information that is true and accurate, and you must inform us of any changes to that information.

You also have the right to withdraw your consent at anytime regarding your Personal Information, namely, to request that your Personal Information no longer be included in a file for viewing, distribution or transmission, including, but not limited to, our newsletter.

You may limit the use of your Personal Information and refuse to have your Personal Information used for certain purposes identified at the time of collection.

Finally, you may, at any time, request the deletion of your Customer Account and the information associated with it.

To exercise these rights, we invite you to contact our Privacy Officer in writing as indicated in the "Information" section. Any request to exercise your rights will require that you first be able to provide proof of your identity. In all cases, we will process requests for access or modification in accordance with applicable legislation.

Security

The Platform keeps the Personal Information compiled in a secure environment and is committed to maintaining a high level of confidentiality by incorporating the latest technological innovations to ensure the privacy of your Personal Information.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is fully secure and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you provide us with. Therefore, in the event that a privacy incident involving Personal Information occurs, we will notify any person affected by the incident and take all reasonable steps to minimize the risk of harm and take reasonable steps to prevent further incidents. However, if notifying you would impede an investigation, please be advised that we are under no obligation to notify you of a privacy incident in which you could be involved.

General provisions

Jet-Unit will collect, process, store, disclose and dispose of your Personal Information in accordance with the applicable laws of the province of Quebec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. If you are not a resident of Canada, you acknowledge and agree that Jet-Unit may collect, process, use and store your Personal Information in accordance with this Policy outside your jurisdiction of residence, including in Canada. Please note that Canadian law may provide different levels of protection for Personal Information than those available in your country.

We reserve the unilateral right to change this Policy at any time, in which case you will be notified of such changes by email to the email address provided to Jet-Unit, as well as by posting it directly on the Platform. You may contact us to the coordinates listed in the "Information" section.

The version of this Policy applicable each time you access the Platform is the one in effect at the date and time the User accessed it, as posted on the Platform at that time.

Filing a complaint

If you feel that your rights have not been respected or that this Policy has not been applied, you may make a complaint to our Privacy Officer, identified below, or to the Commission d'accès à l'information.
